Guidelines for Writing a Successful OTM:
- Make sure that your OTM is month specific. If you are nominating an individual for an OTM, be sure to list specific accomplishments and outstanding services that the individual has acheived for the month of your nomination. In addition to accomplishments in the month of nomination, you may provide other information.
- Focus on quality over quantity.
- Include as much information as you possibly can. Nominations are evaluated only on the information that you provide. Even though some of the active members may know the individual or program that you are nominating, any information not included in the nomination is not open for comment or discussion at our meetings.
- Write your OTM in a word processor program first! This way you can save it to avoid losing your work. You can also use spell and grammar check.
- Proofread your nomination at least once! The truth is that well writen OTMs stand out amongst poorly written OTMs.
- Contact the individual that you are nominating to get required or additional information.
