Active Member Nomination

Deadline: Monday, April 21st @ 12:00pm (noon)

What is an Active Member?
Active members are the top one percent of student leaders who live in the residence halls at Cal State Fullerton. There are currently eight active members in ΧΨΦ. The roles that each active member serves varies, but all the active members are responsible for all the operations of the organization. Active members can be elected as an officer, have a vote on all voting matters including OTM nominations, graduate with honors, receive the Diamond pin for leadership excellence in leadership and more.

Who Is Eligible?
The Chi Psi Phi Constitution puts several limitations to active membership. The following are the requirements to be considered a candidate for active membership:
  • Must be in good standing with the University.
  • Must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5
  • Must have lived in the residence halls for at least one year prior to your nomination. There are limited exceptions to this policy. Ask the president for details.
Besides these basic requirements, a candidate must also:
  • Exhibit outstanding service to the university Residence Halls.
  • Exhibit leadership and character qualities appropriate for representing Cal Sate Fullerton and the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH).
Who Can Nominate Candidates Who Meet These Requirements?
There are only three type of positions that can submit nominations to Chi Psi Phi. They are: RSA Officers, Professional Housing Staff Members and Chi Psi Phi Active Members. If you would like to be nominated, you should contact a person in any of these positions ASAP.

When Will Nominations Be Accepted?
Chi Psi Phi will be accepting nominations towards the end of the Spring 2008 semester, sometime in April.

Who Decides?
Active Member nominations are evaluated by the selection committee and then appointed by all the Active Members at a regularly scheduled meeting.
